Easy
I think it is, and will always be difficult and qualify a book review of a (a) author (s) as much as you like in my case it is Tammara Webber. Webber I love your writing since I read Between the Lines. Since I found out I would write another book again was that dying to read it, and today I can say that Ms. Webber has shown why it has become one of my favorite indie authors.
Easy starts with a strong scene, does not begin with flowers, balloons or candy. No, beginning with what is taboo for many books. Easy touch issues much stronger queBetween the Lines, this book is based on finding the strength in ourselves, to be brave and know succeed. All with the perfect touch of romance.
After her boyfriend, Kennedy ended their relationship three years, Jacqueline is left as the scum of the university. All she thought were her friends leave, except for her roommate and best friend. The life I thought I had it taken out of his hands. One night when it seems that his life is about to change forever, she meets the mysterious Lucas. Lucas is the guy sitting in the last row in the economy class, the guy with tattoos and pierced lip. The one who always carries his sketchbook under his arm and fingers stained pencil and paint. The guy who thinks the guilt and scars of the past are forever.
Something I loved Jacqueline's character is his growth through the book, I loved it's not the typical girl who cries for the ex all the time, the girl who gets to mourn every time she sees him with another, no. It goes from being a girl to a strong woman weak. Lucas is a boy, as I said, has scars from the past. Scars that cling to him as the tattoos he wears on his skin, pain behind your eyes. His story is sad, and once you know it, we can not help our love grow for him. Lucas, is now definitely with Daemon from Obsidian, one of my favorite male characters.
The secondary characters also deserve mention. Erin, Jacqueline's best friend is a girl who is not silent to the injustice he sees around him. The friend who is by your side no matter what. Benji, Jacqueline classmate is gay and which adds a touch of humor to the story for their comments to Lucas, I really wish to know more about him.
I enjoyed every part of this book, I laughed, I cried, I got angry, but mostly lived. I felt the pain, anguish, happiness, fear, love, friendship, support. There was no part where I had to put eyes and think a yes or no. I sincerely believe that I was exhausted after finishing reading Easy. A fundamental part of this is the writing of Webber. His writing, as I said in my previous reviews of BTL, is unique. She touches on topics that most books do not even mention suicide, alcoholism, abortion, drug addiction and sexual abuse. Topics that are real and happen every day, issues with which society becomes deaf ear or a blind eye to them. If you are looking for something realistic, something beyond the romance, I recommend you read Easy. You will not regret!
